Mission Mangal: Dil Mai Mars hai!

Mission Mangal: Dil Mai Mars hai!

When Bollywood paragons are fueled with the trajectory of leading scientists and engineers from ISRO, (insert: Kaboom! Bang!)  Mission Mangal emerges.

With a dash of science, and a pot full of patriotism, Mission Mangal is set to release on India’s Independence Day on 15th August. Mission Mangal’s trailer, released by Fox Star Studios, leaves you in awe and curiosity of how they will end up employing the idea of frying “pooris” by turning off the heat when the oil is at a high temperature in a space satellite launch. The idea is at the same time hilarious and something that did work for the original team working at ISRO on whom this movie is based.

Behind the Scenes Details

The Mission Mangal movie cast is some of the best bunch of Bollywood actresses and actors all appearing together on the big screen for the first time in India’s first space movie. Akshay Kumar, Kriti Kulhari, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Vidya Balan, Sharman Joshi, and Nithya Menon are those names whose films have always had promising content to look forward to; when they star together, one cannot help but muse at what magic will ensue behind the curtains for our entertainment.

Helmed and directed by Jagan Shakti, the actresses led by Vidya Balan, (performing the role of Tara Shinde) will take all feminists to cloud nine (literally and metaphorically) with the show of woman power (insert a delightful squeal here please).

It’s first song, Dil Mai Mars Hai, has already been released instantly hitting over 1 lac reviews on YouTube and you will not leave after viewing it without a stuck song syndrome. That, however, does not come as a surprise since it is Amitabh Bhattacharya who has been wearing the lyricist hat for this one with Amit Trivedi composing it.

The trailer’s end features a portrait of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, behind Rakesh Dhawan (Akshay Kumar) who along with being India’s president was also an aerospace scientist, fondly referred to as the Missile Man of India for his work; this brings smiles to the historians and the science aficionados in the audience and leaves them with a growing sense of patriotism added to reminiscence of some good times.
